Double-click a province that is flashing red to resolve the battle pending there. Battles occur when you have an army in a non-friendly or unowned province, or another player has moved an army into a province you own. Players collect battle-level resources, research new units, research unit abilities for use during battle, and control individual units rather than whole armies.
